Introduction

In response to the need for documents to assist the research and analysis into the record of John F. Kerry by members of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth discussion forum, volunteers conducted research in the US Navy Operational Archives at the Washington Navy Yard for Task Force 115 documents (Dec 68-Mar 69). This research uncovered the spot reports, CAS REP damage reports, personnel CAS REPS, box scores, daily and weekly summaries of action, and most importantly, the OPORD which allowed analysis of the message traffic to determine who wrote the after action reports.

These documents paint a broad picture of the actions of these courageous men of the Swift Boats and show that they all deserved a hero’s welcome when they returned from duty in South East Asia, not the tarnished reputations that they received due to the actions of John F. Kerry.
